Hi All. Great App - thanks so much! Can't wait to get it working nicely....

I have an HTC Desire phone (the original one, like a Google Nexus phone) which means it is pretty slow compared to modern phones. I'm considering a new HTC One with the quad-core 1.7Ghz CPU - can anyone confirm Trackmaster works fine on the HTC One?

Anyway - my major issue is that recorded videos are often nothing but garbage on-screen. The filmed laps look like an old black and white TV with the horizontal hold completely gone. Other laps/videos in the same session are recorded just fine. Sometimes I get 4 laps recorded fine, then 2 dead ones, then some more good ones.

Can anyone suggest why this might happen?

TM seems to forget that I set it to record each lap video separately - do I need to set that every time I use TM?

TM also absolutely monsters the battery! Even at 100%, and with a USB charger cable attached, the phone will run so low on power within about an hour, that disconnecting the USB instantly causes the phone to shut down - no matter how fast I get power back to it. This is a problem, because power to the phone gets cut when I hit the starter motor.

Is this a typical experience?

I really want trouble-free operations for a full day without worrying about the tech. The price is right for Trackmaster - no doubt about it, but if I can't get trouble-free and reliable operation, I'll spend the 1K required for dedicated data logging and filming. But that would be 1K I can't spend on the track - so I am keen to get it working well.

All advice gratefully accepted!

Chris D.

I understand that its purpose is to break the lap down into different sections, but I don't understand how to implement it. When I go to the map to put a split point down, am I supposed to put the marker on the track? Or am I supposed to put marker 1 on say the left side of the track and marker 2 on the right side so that I cross the dotted line to start the split time? I guess what is confusing me is the dashed line between the markers.

For example, my home track is Sebring Raceway. I'd like to separate the lap time into four different sections: Turn 1 to Turn 7, Turn 7 to Turn 13, Turn 13 to Turn 16 and Turn 16 to Turn 1.
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Sebring_International_Raceway.svg
