Thanks again Jeff, sorry I didn't see those options as I was holding the phone in portrait mode and it wasn't clear that there were additional icons. When I flipped it to landscape I saw them!

Think I've got that going, now I'm just paying with the data in Excel - I'm downloading Microsoft MapPoint to see what I can do in Excel with that. Reading to do next...

-Ross

You have a few options:
<ol style='list-style-type: decimal';>
You can use the Locate button on the Split Marker screen to locate your current location. The you would need to walk the track and use that to create your split markers.

You can drive the track one lap and log data. Then use the Overlay button on the Split Marker screen to overlay that data and use it as a guide for choosing split markers.

If your track or friend has latitude, longitude coordinates for corners or other track locations, you can use the Search button to input these coordinates and place split markers.

An upcoming Trackmaster release will allow you to load your own map image.

Jeff

Is there a way to mark split points without using Google Earth or maps? My local track (High Plains Raceway) opened last season and as such isn't in any of the satellite maps yet. So there's now way for me to mark the splits.

Could you simply add a "Use GPS location" to create the split points? I could easily walk out to the start finish line when the track is cold to get a marker. Otherwise I'll have to get a refund as the app is sorta useless without that.

Really hope you can add that as the app looks amazing. I'm running a race in a few weeks and would love to get some data at my next test and tune day.

Thanks!!!

-Ross

The desktop Google Earth version can be used to create split msrkers to be imported into Trackmaster.
