Good point about the time limit mode. That could work as well, I just need to remember to delete that last lap (which potentially could store a lot of data to sync). Basically... I'm just lazy, so I'm looking for the uber-convenient path of least resistance.

Good suggestions. You're aware that there is a Time Limit Mode under settings? This will automatically stop logging after your specified time limit (in minutes).

Jeff

Hi Jeff.

This is just a convenience request for us motorcycle trackday munkys.

On my Triumph Daytona, I store my datalogger... err, phone... under the seat while riding. At the end of a session , I need to do important stuff like let the pit wenches spray me with champagne, get out of my leathers, rehydrate, etc., so it's often a little while until I can pop the seat off and turn logging off. It would be cool if the app has an option that just stops logging if you've stopped. I suppose it could base that on a static geographic location, or a user option "if lap time exceeds X seconds...". Perhaps even auto-delete the uncompleted lap.

You could even go a step further, and add "Auto-Start". Which is the same thing as the current auto-start, but tied in with Auto-Stop. You pit at the end of a session, and the logging stops. You leave the phone under the seat. When you go out for the next session and pass the first split marker, it starts logging again. Perhaps optionally as a new session, or the same session.

The two together would form a "Stealth Mode" for those unlucky souls who aren't permitted to do lap timing at their track days. They could surreptitiously hide their phone early in the day, after they set it and forget it.

Cheers,
Mel
