Trackaroo Trackmaster

This release has many improvements and bug fixes and requires Android 1.6 or higher. Devices still using Android 1.5 will not be able to upgrade. The HTC Hero is still using Android 1.5. The rumor is that HTC will be providing an upgrade very soon.

Here are some of the notable updates for v1.8:

• Trackmaster now uses the native text-to-speech engine. Installing the third-party text-to-speech engine is no longer needed. The native text-to-speech engine also performs much better. You can adjust your speech settings under Phone Settings->Speech synthesis.
• Better support for various screen sizes from small screens like the HTC Tattoo to the larger screen of the Motorola Droid is now available.

• A new split marker trigger mechanism has been added to compensate for a loss in GPS accuracy. The previous mechanism had a fixed proximity trigger. This new version will now automatically adjust this trigger based on the the reported accuracy of the GPS.
• The Send option has been changed to Share to better describe the ability to send results via Facebook, Email, Picasa, and more.
• A new Open function is provided so that you can import Sessions and Split Marker Sets from your SDCARD.
  
• The Save function now saves all files to a new Trackmaster directory on your SDCARD to help keep your storage organized.
• A delete button has been added to the Session, Vehicle, Setup, and Split Marker management screens to provide an easier way to delete these.
• A select check box has been added to the Vehicle, Setup, and Split Marker management screens to provide an easier way to select these for logging.
  
• The logger activity has been fixed so that you can terminate Trackmaster with the back button.
• The various edit activities have been fixed so that the soft keyboard does not automatically launch.

Please uninstall the app and re-install from the Android Market. There was a subsequent update to fix this issue that was occurring on some Droids. You may not have received the notification.
