Finally!

Tomorrow is our local autocross test and tune event and my first chance to use Trackmaster for it's intended purpose. Autocross 2 weekends in a row and then a track day the next ... fun times.

Awesome. Let me know if you need any helping setting up Trackmaster.

I'm pretty sure I've got it. I'll set my check points when I walk the course. I just wish I has a 5hz GPS to log. I just ordered my bluetooth unit today, so I hope there is a solution to get it to work with Trackmaster soon.

Trackmaster worked great on Saturday. I had to work out a couple of kinks with my GPS accuracy, but otherwise it was nice to have data from my runs.

The only issue I ran in to was, if I started a log and then pulled up to the start line, Trackmaster would start the log prematurely, thinking that I would keep moving forward and cross split 1, even though I stopped about 8' short. The remedy was simply to start Trackmaster while stopped at the start line. Once I got that down, the lap times were within 1/10 of the timing system.

Upon reviewing my logs though, it seems that the GPS is giving up some accuracy at times. It showed my line being very different between runs in the faster sections (~50 MPH) when I was within 2'-3' of my line on every run. I think this just pushed the case for external GPS support ... something faster with more accuracy would make Trackmaster an invaluable tool for grassroots motor sports.

Thanks for the update. I should have a test app available here very soon that will support the external bluetooth GPS. I'll keep you posted.

Here are some overlays from Saturday ... I looped it on the last run at the end of the slalom, and that's reflected on the plots.
