Trackmaster v5.0 released!

Trackmaster v5.0 includes bug fixes and new features. The main new feature is video recording. Here is an overview of video recording and other the new features:

  • Automatic video recording is now available. Trackmaster now records video for each lap. Recording occurs in the background, so you can still view your real-time data. Video files are placed on your SDCARD and automatically uploaded (see below).
  • Lap video playback on the phone is also available. This includes a simple data overlay.
  • Lap video is automatically synchronized to MyTrackmaster.com along with your data. Share your MyTrackmaster.com page with your friends and they get all your vehicles, setups, track data, and now video. You can view video under your lap summaries.


  • Braking and accelerating is now shown on MyTrackmaster.com (like the app).
  • Settings has been reorganized for ease of use and to plan for future features.
  • The track database on the phone now automatically synchronizes with the ever growing track database at MyTrackmaster.com.
  • You can control the logger start and stop sequence from your wired or bluetooth headset. This can be helpful if you have touchscreen issues with your gloves or other issues with starting.
  • You can now delete your laps on MyTrackmaster.com under lap summaries.
  • Further improvements were made to MyTrackamster.com sync. Data synchronization occurs more frequently.

I just saw the update in the market and noticed.... VIDEO!!!

Thanks a lot Jeff. This is cool. A few questions though... Can syncing of video be forced to be done only via wifi? (Does it do that automatically?) Is there a plan to have TM overlay the data on to the video eliminating the need for a third party app to do the integration on the PC?

Being able to delete laps on Mytrackmaster is a welcome addition as well.

Thanks for the great updates. Too bad I have to wait until April to really use them.

It can't currently be forced to sync on Wifi, but that's on the feature list. With unlimited plans going away, this option is definitely needed.

Yes, the plan is to also integrate the video overlay into the app. But this is dependent on the OS. The current OS doesn't allow it.

It's enabled by default. Just have your headset hooked up while you're on the Logger screen. Hit any of the headset controls to initiate the start sequence (and stop).

I am usung an older model BT Headset (Cardo Scala-500) with an EVO 4G... Bluetooth connects as it should, but when you press the "call" button the earpiece it activates the phone's Voice Dialer instead of starting the logging... Any suggestions? Found nothing in the phone's settings where I could disable the voice activated calling feature... THANKS!
