Bug: Deceleration showing as acceleration on MyTrackmaster view of lap
4/17/12 1:22 PM
Check out lap 3 of this session:
http://www.mytrackmaster.com/#SessionEditPlace:ag1teXRyYWNrbWFzdGVychsLEgRVc2VyGM_FNwwLEgdTZXNzaW9uGKfvAgw

It shows acceleration (green) through split marker 8, right?

On my phone (HTC Desire) this shows correctly as deceleration (red) up to the apex. It also shows as deceleration on the blue speed graph on mytrackmaster.com.

This is a bug, as failure to decelerate here can be quite serious :-)

Some more examples, on lap 5 of the same session.

0:16 - really accelerating (see blue graph) track is marked red
1:12 - ditto

Should be fixed now. Thanks for catching that.

Hi Jeff,

there still seems to be the same issue other places. For example, lap 3 around 16 seconds, the blue graph is rising, but the track is red.

Same at lap 5, 1:11 (accelerating up the straight) - track is red here too.

While I have your attention you might also want to check this: http://trackmaster.trackaroo.com/forums/-/message_boards/message/88071 - seems fairly straightforward, just a table value which is wrong on the display on the phone, but not in the Excel.

Excellent app by the way :-)

I don't see that after the fix. Try clearing your browser cache and restarting the browser to make sure you get the new code.

I definitely see it still - even tried using a completely different browser for a change, and it still looks the same.

Lap 3, from 16 to 19 seconds are acceleration, but marked in red on the map.

This is what I see now on lap 3. Crosshair is on the 16 second mark (and graph).

Hmm - still looks like this to me (see attached file). Same lap as yours, etc.

But I have experimented a bit, and found out that it only looks that way if I am logged in. I could log out, see it "your way"; then log back in, and its back to "my way". A clue there hopefully!

All the best

While looking at the same lap, does the "lateral accel" look right to you?

I thought I would be able to look at all the positive peaks, and they would all be right- or left-handers, for example.
But the first peak (after split marker 1) is RH, while the peak at SM6 is LH. These two corners are pretty simple, so I can't think of an explanation.

This corresponds with the display on the phone too.

Ahhh..yes..good clue. I forgot to push the code to the SessionEditPlace page, too. Now try.
